Voice supports young people aged 13-30; we champion youth voice, leadership and co-production through all our work.
Our projects open doors for young people to explore their personal interests and potential jobs, including those with fewer opportunities to take part in the arts.
We want to help create a society which values the creativity and opinions of young people, recognises how people develop through cultural activity and offers pathways into the cultural sector for people from all backgrounds.
We believe in running our organisation and our projects so that they: INSPIRE – INFORM – EXPERIMENT – EMPOWER
We run a fair and supportive organisation which is collaborative in operation and constantly creates opportunities for young people and young professionals to grow their skills, take on leadership roles and explore creative activities and career paths.
Our staff and associates offer wide-ranging skills including business development, journalism, media skills, training, youth voice and participation. We actively support young people to progress from our participation programmes into paid work with us.
Our staff team brings together experienced professionals with early career creatives.
Our trustees are a diverse group with business, cultural, education and journalism experience.
We support young journalists to create content for our magazine and develop employability skills.
We are a charity, Upstart Projects, and are very grateful to the funders and supporters who enable our work, including:
